IfJ is currently looking for people to join their existing board of trustees, who are enthusiastic and committed to promoting 'access to justice for all' by promoting the role of intermedaires within the justice system.
The board of trustees are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, developing the organisations aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines. IfJ trustees are active in their contribution to shaping best and innovative practice for vulnerable people within the justice system.
These voluntary appointments are made for an initial year. Trustees are expected to attend four meetings a year and be available to contribute and advise as appropriate.
Who should apply?
We encourage anybody interested in becoming a trustee to express their interest. As a newly established and growing charity, IfJ is increasingly benefiting from a diverse board of trustees.
We would especially like to hear from those who can offer professional skills and expertise in the following areas:
- Fundraising, major bid preparation
- Experience in the range of professional services, e.g., human resources, financial management, asset management, IT and digital technology, media & marketing, advocacy and public affairs
- Influential networker within the justice system
